Please join us for the launch of Feminist Archive South's touring project, Hatpins to Hashtags in Weston.

Building on the legacy of Weston’s prominent suffragettes, ‘Hatpins to Hashtags’, will celebrate women’s activism then and now in the area through a programme of free events, workshops, exhibitions and discussions.

The launch is a chance to have first look at our exhibition, Politics and Protest: posters from the women's liberation movement as well an opportunity to find out more about forthcoming free events and workshops.

Alison is a project consultant. Her experience includes designing online information and project management systems, and building and managing multi-user websites. However, her background is not in tech. She was driven to learn by her fascination with online technologies and the ways in which they can open new possibilities for collaboration, innovation and action. She is a strong believer in the power of the open-source community and what can be achieved through knowledge sharing. She is currently developing the Redspace project through her company, Redport, to try and make it easier for other non-coders to get started with online projects of their own.
